Canyon Grey is our soft, cool grey — a calm, muted stone-grey that reads modern, understated, and sophisticated. It settles a structure into a quiet, grounded palette without ever feeling cold. It isn’t a flat coat of grey paint: the rough-sawn texture shows through, so the timber still looks like real wood, just in a soft, cool grey. It’s a Sherwin-Williams water-based stain, applied in two shop coats and backrolled so it works into the rough-sawn Douglas Fir instead of sitting on top like paint, and the rough-sawn texture stays part of the look. On a pergola, pavilion, or gazebo, Canyon Grey reads contemporary, natural, and effortlessly calm.
