Thermal Mass: Cool to the Touch, Even in Extreme Heat
Heavy timber absorbs heat rather than radiating it. Even in 115°F Arizona heat, you can touch a timber post without burning yourself. Aluminum, metal, and vinyl pergolas radiate heat and can cause contact burns in direct sun—a safety issue for families with kids and pets.

Patent-Pending Moisture Cap System

Direct-from-Mill Lumber Sourcing
We source Grade A Douglas Fir, Coast Redwood, and Cedar direct from the mill—not through a chain of brokers. That means controlled moisture content, consistent grain quality, and full chain-of-custody accountability. You know exactly what you’re getting.
Compound Angle Joinery Capability
We cut complex, multi-axis angles that allow timber members to meet at non-standard angles—critical when your pergola needs to interface with a hip roof, wrap around an architectural feature, or follow the slope of a hillside lot. Most kit manufacturers can’t do this. Most custom builders won’t.
Coast Redwood in Structural Dimensions
We’re one of the only manufacturers in the country that can source and fabricate Coast Redwood in large structural dimensions (8×8 posts, 4″×14″ beams). It’s naturally rot-resistant, dimensionally stable, and visually in a class by itself—but it requires mill relationships most companies simply don’t have.
