Why Choose a Pavilion?
A pavilion isn’t just an outdoor structure—it’s an invitation. It’s the space where moments turn into memories, where families gather, and where the beauty of nature meets the comfort of intentional design. Unlike other outdoor structures, a pavilion provides shade and shelter without blocking the openness of the outdoors. It’s the perfect balance of function and aesthetics, creating a timeless space for relaxation, connection, and celebration.
What is a Pavilion?
A pavilion is a freestanding, open-sided structure with a solid roof—designed to offer both protection and elegance. Think of it as an extension of your home, a sanctuary in your backyard, a centerpiece of your outdoor space. Whether it’s for outdoor dining, a poolside retreat, or a shaded escape, a pavilion elevates your yard to a new level of style and usability.

What Our Pavilions Customers Say
How is a timber frame pavilion engineered?
Our stamped sample timber frame pavilion packages use a 115 mph ultimate design wind speed as a calculation input, not a storm survival rating, with ground snow from 30 psf to 50 psf depending on the site and Exposure B. A licensed structural engineer prepares a stamped package for your address from those criteria, and fabrication follows that package. Your address may require different criteria, and your package controls.
How are timber frame pavilion posts anchored?
Each timber frame pavilion post sits on a quarter-inch aluminum knife plate that runs up inside the post. The plate anchors to concrete with two to four half-inch by nine-and-a-half-inch anchors, and the post is through-bolted to the plate. Your stamped package sets the anchor count and the footing size.
What holds a timber frame pavilion down in wind?
Our stamped sample packages check one shared post footing and anchor detail against a single bounding uplift demand of 3,299 pounds, reused across every package rather than calculated per product. Uplift on a timber frame pavilion is resisted by the whole connection path: the post, its through-bolts, the knife plate, the anchors, the footing, and the soil beneath it. Your stamped package sets the uplift and the footing design that apply at your address.
What does a solid pavilion roof change?
A solid roof takes the full wind and snow load with no open-slat reduction, so beams and rafters are sized up. Our stamped pavilion packages use 10 in. × 10 in. posts. Your stamped package sets the member sizes for your footprint.
How much does a timber frame pavilion kit cost?
A 10 ft × 10 ft timber frame pavilion kit starts at $10,100 in the 4000 Essential series, with shipping included and engineering quoted separately.
