Custom Stain Timber Frame Pergola in “Garden of Eden”

Eden was named in 1859 after the biblical “Garden of Eden” at the suggestion of Washington Jenkins, a hired government surveyor who said in all his years of surveying, this area was one of the most beautifully spectacular sites he had ever seen. Here in Eden, Utah we installed a 16' x 26' DIY pergola kit with a premium high-grade UV protective custom timber stain to handsomely match the trim on home.

This DIY pergola kit is built from Douglas-fir and is a freestanding Oversize kit. Western Timber Frame is famous for its Oversize Kits with posts and beams that can be ordered from extraordinarily large to extremely massive in size. This kit features a Southwest beam and rafter profile with all of the rafters against the house having a square cut, *no profile* for a tight fit. The rafters have 1" overhang against gable part of house and to compensate for a sloped hill, a 12' post was installed for the footing. It features two arched knee braces with decorative keystones on the front view with Legacy knee braces on the sides.

The timber frame pergola creates a stylish and relaxingly, shady atmosphere with a magnificent view that extends the interior of the home into an elegant and functional outdoor living area.
