before pergola installation

Pictured to the left is a before photo of a client's backyard in a metropolitan area in Arizona. Although, it is a small area, you can do so much to create a larger feeling as you will see in this magnificent backyard metamorphosis made fast and easy with the installation of a timber frame DIY arbor kit from Western Timber Frame™.

This is a different job but I love seeing the before and after photos of jobs like this example Jason, one of our Design Managers sent to us. These timbers are honkin' in size. They dwarf dimensional lumber so much that if I were to compare it on a dollhouse scale, it would feel much like a pencil next to a toothpick. It wasn't until I actually stood next to one of these massive timber frame shade structures that I realized how large they are.

These homeowner chose to have Western Timber Frame™ install this arbor kit for them; which some homeowners do prefer now and then. We enjoyed this project and seeing how beautiful it is and in this busy metropolitan area it is so secluded and private with an incredibly comfortable shade from the naturally temperature regulating timber of this DIY arbor kit installed in a hot Arizona sunny area.

The homeowners did a fantastic job of turning this small area into a backyard oasis adding some pavers, outdoor furniture, fire pit and kitchenette. The outdoor television was hung from the bottom beam of the timber frame arbor. These arbor kits are built to hold the weight securely. They can also be drilled for power with a core hole through the center of the post to be used for an Electrician to run his own wiring, water lines for Water Misters, water taps, network cables, cat 5 lines, TV lines, etc. so you can maximize your family’s outdoor living experience.
