Farmers Get American Dream Come True w/Outdoor Living Entertainment Area

Every farmer I have ever met loves the outdoors! And for this farm family relaxing in a fresh living air environment is living life at its best. Today's featured shade shelter is the perfect fulfillment of this American family's dream.

Kennan and Marnee delight in cooking together and having friends over for Sunday barbecues; which are why they have four grills. They went to the Salt Lake City Home and Garden show looking for a protective shade cover. Seeing Western Timber Frame’s ShadeScape® structures, they were impressed with the quality and beauty.

Marnee: “We went to the home show and we were just looking for a 10’ x 10’ structure. Western Timber Frame was there and they had a beautiful display. We met a one of their Design guys there and he said he would come out and observe our job. He did that. We decided for all the people we liked to have over that we should go up from a 10’ x 10’ to almost a full structure — covering almost the length of the back of the house.”

Before showcasing all of the amazing details of this decked out deck and pergola kit I would like to take off my hat in a mark of respect to farm owners, Kennan and Marnee.

Visions of farm life may seem almost magical with thoughts of corn mazes, pumpkin patches, hay rides and such. But life on a farm is hard work and requires a wealth of information. It should come with more than one job title; an agronomist, biologist, bookkeeper, environmentalist, mechanic, meteorologist, and more. Even with modern technology and equipment, it is still a lot of manual labor. This is, in part, why it is such a wonderful experience to give Kennan and Marnee a relaxing get-a-way they can enjoy every day!

And on a personal note, Whether you comprehend it or not, farmers actually care about you and your family. Every day they work to make sure there is enough food in our country and spend their lives working the land. It takes passion, courage, dedication and responsibility towards living things; farmers give so much of themselves to others.

Kennan, came from a long line of farmers and when he took a wife, he picked the cream of the crop— in Marnee. From the first moment I met Marnee, it felt like coming home and never wanting to leave. She is also gifted as you see in her handiwork and her artistic eye displayed across her covered deck. I had so much fun photographing it, check it out!
