I am so excited! Don Juvan, Arizona

Thank you, Don, for sending us pictures of your timber frame ShadeScape™ pergola installation in progress. And for your enthusiastic note to us. We are excited for you. I know just how awesome owning a ShadeScape™ shelter can be. Pergolas are the perfect oasis that you can escape to everyday. I am sitting under my own ShadeScape™ "working", soaking in the healing sunshine and comforting shade as I write this post. I have latticed privacy screens that I love.

I have to say the arched privacy screen panels on today's featured 8000 Series ShadeScape™ installation is gorgeous!

A concrete footing can be necessary for some locations to prevent frost heave. Footings are normally placed 6 inches below the frost line. In some places, for example, St. Paul, Minnesota, the required code for footings is between 54 to 60 inches deep. In other regions, the post can go directly into the ground or secured on a concrete pad. With proper anchoring, a well engineered dovetailed pergola will stand securely.

Western Timber Frame™ has a ShadeScape™ pergola kit installed in Florida, that stood through Hurricane Irma. Hurricane Irma was a Category Five! At over 155 miles per hour, the forceful winds of Hurricane Irma are one of the most powerful storms in history! Here is what the Baker family from Florida told us:

Are you kidding this Pergola has already been through its first hurricane, Irma. She stood tall and proud and never wavered. Our neighbors with us sat under her and watched as men from Texas cut trees down off the lines and restored our power. Thank you for your wonderful product she gave our neighbors shade when there was none. Be proud of your product. Thanks. – – Kenneth Baker

The best part of our day is hearing back from our ShadeScape™ families. We hope to see pictures of today's featured ShadeScape™ when you have it set the way you like. Thank you, for sharing with us, and thank you to Tyler Jenson, our Design Manager for this project.
