September, I found, has been registered as Self-Improvement month. I have not kept myself up-to-date to be ready for the upcoming national days and months. I didn't know I was officially suppose to be improving myself this month. The month of May has been registered as National Home Improvement month. Not sure exactly what a particular month has to do with home improvement or self-improvement. Does that imply I can only improve on myself in September or on my home in May; or is it meant as a reminder so that I don't forget to improve something? Most people seem to be interested in improving something everyday, whether it is with ourselves, our organization, our environment, our happiness, our dreams. Improvement is an ongoing process of everyday life; leaving something better than we found it or the world being better because we were here type of a thing.
Home improvement plays a role in our self improvement. Our surroundings affect the way we feel. Home improvements can create a calm and inviting environment and seeing what others have done in pictures of before and after inspires ideas of your own for your own home improvement.
