Western Timber Frame™ specializes in the manufacturing of solid timber structures, such as pergolas, gazebos, pavilions, and more. They are a company of people who have a sense of respective values with a deep-rooted love for family and community. We are pleased to continue the honor of receiving the Best of State award for the last several years and now again, in 2017.
From its beginnings, in 2009 the vision at Western Timber Frame™ is to provide a way to make it affordable for everybody to have a functional and aesthetically pleasing outdoor living space in their backyard. What started out with Hyrum’s sons, has become a beehive of Timberwright Specialists and Design Managers who look forward to going to work every new day.
Even though we follow a standardized method for design, allowing us to maintain quality control and to maintain our unique styles and branding, there is never a dull day. Every project new with a uniqueness, like having a new canvas to paint on.
The products are designed to be fun and fast to install that people could enjoy the satisfaction of doing it themselves if they liked. It is so easy as each piece is pre-cut, pre-assembled and tested; interlocking with old world craftsmanship joinery without the use of nails or glue. Also, Hyrum designed and engineered The Dovetail Difference™, a patent pending state-of-the-art joint system that is even stronger conventional timber frame joints. The products are engineered to last; to be heirloom architectural masterpieces.
At the root of the company, there are two strong driving forces in the manufacturing of these timber products. The first starts in part, stemming from the sentiment of Nelson Henderson, a farmer, “The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit.” Every product is designed and engineered on time-proven architectural principles that are enjoyed not just by people today but for their great-grandchildren’s great-grandchildren under whose shade they can expect to sit. When those progenitors see the integrity and fine craftsmanship of these timber structures it says everything about the people who built them.
At Western Timber Frame™ they are building more than pergolas. We believe that when families gather together that it strengthens the home; which influences the integrity of communities and ultimately inhering a stronger America.

It is gratifying to see how delighted people are when they can transform their backyard in just a few hours. As for us girls at Western Timber Frame™, it is stunning to see Timber Wrights, our own down home, good-ol‘-boys, dressed in suits!!! They had a lot of fun!
